Tourism Development Project (Asseyri Project) in the island of Gan in Laamu Atoll, Maldives
The Government of Maldives (GOM) represented by the Ministry of Tourism Arts and
Culture (MOTAC) invites eligible investors, local or foreign with demonstrated financial
capability to register their interest by submitting Expressions of Interest (EOI) to invest in
site infrastructure and undertake the management and lease of lands for the
development of tourist accommodation facilities and associated commercial and
recreational services facilities to prospective leaseholders.
The Project
Laamu Gan integrated tourism development project (Asseyri Project) is planned to be
developed on approximately 25 ha of land in a tropical resort setting located on the
western side beach area in the island of Gan in Laamu Atoll.
The proposed overall development plan is available at Ministry of Tourism, Arts &
Culture’s website (www.tourism.gov.mv). The development area is a 10 minute drive
from Kahdhoo Airport in Laamu Atoll.
